The British Columbia Hockey League playoff champions are, since 2026, awarded The Rogers BCHL Cup. The trophy is named after the title sponsor of the BCHL, Rogers Communications Incorperated. The BCHL originally partnered with Shaw Communications in 2019, before they merged with Rogers in April of 2023.
The Champions are currently decided by a
best-of-seven game series between the
Coastal Conference Champions and the
Interior Conference Champions.
It must be noted however that in the
past this series has been decided by a
best-of-five, a round-robin, a 10-point system
and has been stopped mid-series. Also, in 1987
the series ended 5-0 (according to the BCHL Now
2005/2006 Year Book, maybe be a printing error
or, it was a best-of-nine).
From 1962 - 1967 League Champions were awarded the Davies Cup. The Kamloops Daily Sentinel reported on September 18, 1961..."The league, during its regular meeting at Vernon Sunday, also voted to accept the Davies Cup and present it annually to the Okanagan champion."... Named after, Ernie Davies who, owned and managed the Central Hotel(now Central Pub Station and Central Barber Shop location), presented the first one to Buck Crawford, of the Kamloops "Central" Rockets, in 1962.
From 1968 - 1995 the League Champions were awarded the Nat Bailey Trophy. The trophy was donated by Nat Bailey, the owner of the White Spot Restaurants.
It was known as the Subway Cup was renamed from 1996 to 1998, as a result of a major sponsorshhip deal with Subway IP LLC resturants.
From 1999 - 2025 the League Champions were awarded the Fred Page Cup. Named after Fred Page who was an integral part of the BCHL's rich history.
The League Champions, in the past, would go on to the national championship playdows for the Memorial Cup, Manitoba Centennial Trophy, the Royal Bank Cup, the National Junior 'A' Championship and the Centennial Cup from 1961 to 2021.
The national championship playdowns involved winning the series competion of the Mowat Cup, Doyle Cup, Abbott Cup and the Western Canada Cup to advance to the national championship.
On March 24th, 2021 the BCHL opted out of the Canadian Junior Hockey League which, made them ineligble for the national playdown, the The Doyle Cup and subsequently the Centennial Cup .
As of June 1, 2023 the league had become independent of Hockey Canada as they did not renew the League Aggrement with them. This move made the BCHL ineligible for any sanctioned Hockey Canada events including any national playdowns.

From 1996 to 1998 Subway was the official sponsor of the championship trophy and was renamed the Subway Cup which, was presented to the team winning the League playoff championship.
The Subway Cup was replaced by the Fred Page Cup.
The BCHL opted out of the CJHL on March 24th, 2021, as a result, are no longer eligible to qualify for the national playdown, Doyle Cup and Centennial Cup.
The BCHL decided to not renew its League Agreement with Hockey Canada, as a result, will operate as a non-sanctioned independent league starting June 1, 2023. The BCHL is no longer eligible for the Mowat Cup.
Rogers will now have naming rights to the league championship trophy, which will be renamed the Rogers BCHL Cup, formerly known as the Fred Page Cup.
As of March 24th, 2021, the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) had withdrawn its membership from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) and are no longer eligible to play in the National playdowns.
On Monday, May 1, 2023, the British Columbia Hockey League announced it will not renew the league's agreement with Hockey Canada, meaning it will be an independent league operateing outside Hockey Canada's system (Non-Sanctioned League) as of June 1, 2023.
