Coach Greg Kvisle

  • 1978-79; Regular Season 62GP-32W-29L-1T & Playoffs 6GP-2W-4L

Greg describes his time with the Canadians as a bizzare year, citing all kinds of antics with the club and within the league. Such as, when Dave Schneiders' brothers were involved in a incident, at a playoff game, that lasted forty minutes which included spectators and police. Also, the story of the teams school bus renovation and trips to the coast with the bus. Another about a lady that grabbed the visiting teams walkie-talkie and ran away with it, priceless!(source Greg Kvisle via phone call I had with Greg)

It is rumored that after a team year-end function, at the Vernon Lodge, Vern Dye was charged apPlayoffsimately $20.000.00 for damages, which lead to him wanting to sell the team.(source Greg Kvisle via phone call I had with Greg)

Due to extreme financial difficulties the team would take a "leave-of-absence" the following year, 1979-80.(source Greg Kvisle via phone call I had with Greg)
