Top
2005 British Columbia Hockey League Playoffs
PLAYOFF FORMAT
- The top four teams in the Island Division,
the top three teams of the Mainland Division plus
a wildcard team will participate in the playoffs
for the Coastal Conference. The top six teams in
the Interior Conference will also participate.
- THE 1ST ROUND: All series will be a best of
seven. In the Coastal Conference Island Division
1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3, in the Mainland Division 1 vs
wildcard and 2 vs 3. In the Interior Conference
the top two teams recieve a 'bye', 3 vs 6 and 4
vs 5.
- THE 2ND ROUND: All series will be a best of
seven. The remaining four teams from the Coastal
Conference will be re-seeded and highest seeded
team plays the lowest seeded team. In the
Interior Conference the #1 team plays the lowest
seed from the remaining teams and #2 team plays
the other team.
- THE 3RD ROUND: will be a best of seven with
the remaining two teams from each Conference.
- THE FINAL ROUND: will be a best of seven
between the remaining two teams.
