Claude was born on February 6th, 1943 in Vancouver, B.C. and we are saddened to announce his sudden passing in the Polson Extended Care Unit on March 17th, 2026 at the age of 83 years. His devoted daughter, Lenae was by his side as he peacefully left this world.
Claude will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lenae (Steve); one brother, Sam (Jill); two sisters-in-law, Shirley and Herta; many special nieces, nephews and cousins; two "grand dogs" Shasta and Ryder; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Angelo; his cherished son, Dean; three brothers, Bill, John and Al; and one sister-in-law, Beth.
Claude was a well known local businessman prior to his retirement having been the owner of Claude's Radiator, Alpine Radiator and co-owner of Vernon Gift and Trophy. Claude was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed playing golf and slow pitch. This was reflected when he "stepped up to the plate" and became the proud Sponsor of the men"s slow pitch teams: "Claude's Radiator" and the womens, "Claude's Leakers." When Claude was not found active in sports, one could find him enjoying hunting, fishing and camping in the great outdoors.
Everyone who ever met Claude knew him for his great sense of humour, big smile, kind nature, and hearty laugh! He loved family, his friends and animals, and everyone loved Claude!
In respecting Claude's wishes, he was cremated and there will be no Service or Celebration of Life held. In his memory we invite you to get together with a family member or friend, tell a good story and enjoy a hearty laugh while sharing a delicious spaghetti dinner. While doing this please don't forget the wine!
Lenae and the entire Desimone family would like to express a special thank you to Claude's good friends Lorelei and Gerry, and to the amazing staff at Polson Extended Care Unit for the exceptional care they provided for him.

I knew Claude from his days owning Claudes' Radiator shop, where I took my '78 Acadian for repairs. Claude and I always talked hockey there and at the games. One day at a Vipers game when Claude was standing in his usuall spot on the south-end railing with his buddy, he says to me "Hey , Paul I have something for you in my truck". We went to his truck and he grabbed me a old wooden hockey stick. He says to me "Here, I want you to have this". It was a stick from the 1973-74 season signed by many of the players of that team. I thanked Claude and with a big smile on my face put the stick in my car. Thanks Claude, RIP good friend!
