VERNON JR. CANADIANS

The Vernon Jr. Canadians along with the Penticton Jr. Vees, Kelowna Buckaroos and Kamloops Jr. Rockets, four junior "B" teams, formed the Okanagan-Mainline Junior 'A' Hockey League in 1961 on the advise and determination of Canadians' owner Bill Brown. This was the Vernon Jr. Canadians and the Vernon franchises' inaugural season.

Statistics wise, it was not a very successful season as the Vernon Jr. Canadains posted a single season record of...

  Regular Season: 29GP - 7W - 21L - 1T
         Playoff: 5GP - 2W - 3L
           Total: 34GP - 9W - 24L - 1T

... success, was the fact, that they played their first season as a junior 'A' team.
